Weird Dreams

Last night, I had some weird dreams. Actually, at this point, I can't even remember the first one, but the second one was even weirder because I thought I was awake from the first one but really wasn't until I actually woke up from the second one. Strangeness! Of course, I was EXHAUSTED last night and fell asleep on the couch at 8 pm. Luckily, Cooper was sleepy too so he slept most of the evening, and then Austin was a sweetie and fed him and I put him to bed and then put myself back to bed. I feel much better today though so I guess my body needed it!

Other than that, not a whole lot else going on. Last weekend was pretty chill - nothing too exciting, mostly just errands and laundry and stuff like that. We did manage to sneak into the movie theater to see You Me & Dupree which I thought was pretty funny. Cooper was an angel and slept through the whole movie. Good timing on our part with his schedule! :)

This week is dragging by pretty slowly because I'm anticipating our vacation next week. We leave on Saturday morning to drive down to Port Aransas. We go every year and rent a house with Austin's family, and it is so much fun and very relaxing. This year, Austin & I both took off the whole week so we are staying from Saturday until Friday (they have the rental place Saturday to Saturday but I have to come back by Friday because I have to work a waterskiing event on the second Saturday). Needless to say I am DEFINITELY looking forward to it, especially after our last little mini-vacation turned out to be far from relaxing and rainy the whole time we were there practically. So I'm torn at work because I want to get stuff done to make sure things run smoothly while I'm gone and to get everything ready for the busy week I will have when I get back (last week of our intern program), but also dreaming of being at the beach and wanting to do nothing but pack and hit the road. Only today and two more days of work and we're out of here!!!!

It's Been a Blur

Sorry I have been so MIA lately. It's just been crazy the past couple of weeks. I've had extracurricular activities going on for work, my parents were in town for 9 days, we went for my company offsite retreat to Fort Lauderdale for three days, and Cooper celebrated his 4 month birthday! It's been a whirlwind two weeks! :)

Everything is great, and I don't want to bore you with details so I won't. I will have to post one of the cutest pictures EVER of Cooper. He went to the doctor on Friday for his four month checkup, and he now is 27.5 inches long and weighs 17 pounds 7 ounces. He looks like he is quite a bit older than he is, but it's okay. He's just so long!!!! He is cuter than ever, and I love how his little personality is developing. We also tried rice cereal for the first time on Saturday, and he isn't too fond of it yet. Yesterday's cereal went a little bit better, but still not great. We'll see how it goes - my dad says it will get progressively better as time goes on.

Other than that, not a whole lot else to report. I have two full weeks of work and then I'm off for a week of vacation at Port Aransas. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! It will be Cooper's first trip to the beach, a week of fun in the sun and relaxation, and a great time as always I'm sure. Enough of my boring life - hope you all are doing great, and please ban Weight Watchers for being complete jerks (see Sara's blog)!!!!! I could kick their collective butts! Happy Monday! :)

Happy Fourth of July!

I was super fortunate enough to have both Monday and Tuesday off so I had a nice four day weekend with my little one! Unfortunately for him, Austin had to work on Monday and to top it off got in a tiny fender bender as well so it was not a good day for him to say the least. :) Luckily, there was barely any damage and no one was hurt, so that is a good thing for sure! Other than that, our weekend was PACKED from beginning to end with stuff going on. We painted Cooper's room and got it all set up (except for the crib which should be here in a few weeks along with the rest of our furniture from Florida!). Did a little shopping although still really in need of a dress to wear the second night we are in Florida for my company trip. Hopefully I can pick up something this weekend in between all the million other things we have going on! I swear it never ends! ;)
