Monday.....The Bane of My Existence

After a great weekend, it is always so tragic when the alarm goes off on Monday mornings, and I actually have to get up, get dressed nicely, and head out the door in order to beat traffic and make it in at a decent time so I can leave at a decent time and get home. We had a great weekend, nothing too exciting but still a lot of fun, but now I am completely exhausted.

Friday:
We did our usual: dinner on the patio at 7 Salsas and then came home and watched the O.C. which we had taped the night before because of watching Apprentice and the Mavs game. Laid in bed all night which is fun sometimes and just relaxed and watched tv.

Saturday:
Got up early because we couldn't sleep, had breakfast, laid around and watched tv for a bit, then got ready and went to Addison to have lunch with Jes & D. We had a good time at On the Border and even though the weather wasn't quite as nice as we had hoped, the sun began to peek out towards the end of our 2 hour lunch. We chatted, ate guacamole and queso and all things bad for us, and sipped on fruity margaritas. It was good stuff!! Came home from that with a bad headache because I hadn't taken my allergy medicine so spent the rest of the day lounging on the sofa until getting up to shower and get ready for the evening. We went to eat dinner at Jack Astor's with Austin's parents and then went to the basketball game on Saturday evening. It was an AMAZING game. The Mavs beat the Rockets by 40 points and won the series. It was so much fun and so great being there as they spanked the Rockets back to Houston! Go Mavs!

Sunday:
Since we didn't get to bed until 1 in the morning (much later than we usually go to sleep), we "slept in" until 9 am, had some breakfast, tried to get tickets to the second round Mavs games but with no luck, and then headed to Target to grab a bag for the gift we got for Austin's mom. Then we met his family for lunch at Macaroni Grill, went grocery shopping, attempted to exercise but got too lazy, and then showered and headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for a small meal since we weren't super hungry. We watched the Contender and Desperate Housewives and read gossip magazines in bed - we are dorks!

Sadly though, because we had "slept in" later than usual, I could NOT fall asleep last night. I think I finally fell asleep after midnight, woke up at 3 in the morning and couldn't sleep for about an hour, and then had to get up at 6:40 this morning to get ready for work. Not much fun! I now feel like I could fall asleep on my desk!!!! Oh well, guess that's how it goes sometimes. Gotta get some sleep tonight though because we are going to see Kelly Clarkson tomorrow night so I'm sure that will be a latish night and we will be tired on Wednesday again. At least it will be fun!!!!
