Love Potion #31
As we were watching the news tonight while waiting for the dinner to finish cooking, Austin saw a brief portion of a news story about free ice cream at Baskin Robbins. Unfortunately, we didn't get the full story, but I thought I would share it with you all in case anyone happens to look at this and gets to enjoy the pleasures I enjoyed tonight.....If you go to Yahoo.com you will see they are celebrating their 10th birthday. And towards the middle of the page, there is an area where you can click on for free ice cream. Fill out the form and TODAY ONLY SO HURRY UP, you can get one scoop free (and the one we went to did another scoop for $1). Mine was called Love Potion #31, and it really truly is probably the BEST ice cream I've EVER had. Here is the description: raspberry ice cream swirled with white chocolate ice cream and raspberry puree ribbon throughout plus raspbery filled chocolate chunks! It was to die for! It is the PERFECT combination of all that I enjoy: chocolate, raspberries, and ice cream! I will stop writing now in case anyone can make it to enjoy the yummy goodness of free Baskin Robbins....hope you have a great night and if you don't get to go tonight, then try that ice cream some other time too! ;) I'm afraid it is only seasonal for Valentine's Day but hopefully not!

Wow. Small town life truly stinks sometimes. You made that ice cream sound totally delicious. But our baskin robbins closed down some time back, and there's no place here to get ice cream out... Glad you were able to enjoy it though!
i knew about it! i even printed out our free ice cream coupons!
but we didn't go. SIGH.
at 4th of july they have this flavor that i just LOVE. it's vanilla and blueberry and cherry swirled together (not mixed. SWIRLED.) and it has POPROCKS in it.
now tell me: wouldn't that make every bite a joyous explosion in your mouth? :)
Kim, I am sad for you that you have no good ice cream places there. We usually go to Marble Slab so you can make your own creation, but last night we headed to Baskin Robbins thinking it might be free, and even though we missed out on the coupon thing, it was super yummy and we might have to try it more often (not too often though or we'll gain five hundred pounds!).
Jes, you knew about the coupons? And you did not inform me of this information?! ;) And that does sounds like a great combination as well....might have to try it in a few months!

LOL! my kids just tried Ben & Jerrys for the first time on our trip to GA last Thanksgiving... and as for Yahoo... I don't go there. :)
We have Ben & Jerry's ice cream in the grocery store, but I've never been to an actual Ben & Jerry's store. So your kids shouldn't feel too bad! ;)
And Jes, I don't go to yahoo except rarely. My e-mail is through Comcast, my homepage is MSN at work and Comcast at home, and I use Google to search. No need for Yahoo....always share info with me like that even if you think I might already know! :) Especially when it involves chocolate or ice cream!
OH. MY. GOSH. i LIVE by Yahoo! It is the only site that i use for ANYTHING. email, notepad, yellow pages, white pages, news stories, celebrity gossip, search engine...why use anything else when it is all in one place.
i love Yahoo! enough to buy stock in it.
