Embarking on a New Adventure
Well here it is....in less than 24 hours I will be holding my little man in my arms. I am SO excited (and a little nervous too)! Our weekend was a lot busier than planned - it seems like there is always SOMETHING that needs to be done still, but other than getting Austin to change the litter box tonight and help me put our clean sheets on the bed tonight, we are pretty much as ready as we are going to be. He is going to get off work at 4 this afternoon (8 hours) and come home so we can have a nice dinner and relax tonight. I can't have any food or water after 7 pm so we need to eat an early dinner and then just veg and watch TV tonight. My parents arrive at 9 pm but luckily my in-laws are going to pick them up at the airport so that we can at least rest (doubt I'll be able to fall asleep that early even if I tried but at least we can wait in bed and relax while waiting for them). Then tomorrow morning we have to leave the house around 4:30 or so to get to the hospital for the pre-op and c-section at 7 am!!! I can't believe it.
I've had a few moments lately where I'm nervous and scared. But the more I think about it, the more excited I am. It's just weird to think it's already here even though it's something we've been waiting 38 weeks for! All the people that keep telling us "your life is going to change" and "enjoy your freedom while you still have" just make me laugh. I know things won't be exactly the same, but to me, I think they can only change for the better. Austin & I have an amazing relationship and are very blessed by all that we have....this is just another chapter in our life to begin and is going to open up even more wonderful and exciting memories. Austin is going to be an amazing father, and I hopefully won't be too bad of a mother ;) and no matter what, our little one will be so loved and cared for by us and the people around us that he is a very lucky little guy!
Other than that, not much else to say. I need to do one load of towels today so Austin has some clean towels for this week, and I have to pack my suitcase for the hospital with my stuff and Cooper's stuff and some magazines to entertain myself although luckily I think I will have plenty of visitors to keep me company. I'm also going to try to make some peanut butter cookies and some cinnamon cream cake so Austin and my parents have a few little snacks around this week. So pretty easy day! Hope that you all have a wonderful week, and I will try to post (or get Austin to post) this weekend when I'm home again! Be thinking about me early tomorrow morning! :)
For those of you that want to see belly pics, I decided to be brave and post this one at least because it's just too darn cute! I love my husband! :)
