Belly Button Bothers
I have an innie belly button. Or I guess I should say I HAD an innie belly button until our little bundle of joy started to take over and pushed it out. It is not 100% out yet, but it's getting there, and I noticed today especially that you can see it through my shirt. I know some people think this is "cute" for pregnant women to have. My guess is that these same people have never been pregnant or didn't have their belly button pop out like a cooking utensil indicating it's done! Even though I still have 10.5 weeks to go by my due date (although who knows if that will change if he's still measuring big the next few times I go), I feel like the whole world should know that I'm getting done since it is half popped out. I guess the rest will pop out when I'm really done!
I might also add that not only is it embarrassing for me that my belly button is poking out now for the whole world to see, but it is also irritated. My belly button insides are not used to be bumped or rubbed up against by clothes. So even though it doesn't "hurt" it is not very comfortable and is a little sensitive. Oh the joys of pregnancy! :) I will not complain though because at least I'm not sick (knock on wood) like I was for the first half of my pregnancy so I can deal with a little aches and pains and getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I just thought since those that can actually see me can also now see my belly button that I might as well share with the Internet that my belly button is now on its way out!

I was sitting at my desk at work today and looked down and thought, what is that inside my shirt? and moved my shirt... it was a PIECE of the inside of my belly button poking up! Apparently it's rising in pieces! Aughhh!!!! It hurts occasionally too, I'm guessing that's the pain of it popping out. Heehee! I was always one of those people who thought it was soooo cute, and I hope I continue to think that because mine's almost popped out!
Thank you for sharing that bit of information. Hang in there.
P.s. The belly button rub isn't anything at all compared to labor. But uh, that one is undescribable and you're gonna have to experience it first hand to believe me...
Yeah I know I'm in for it....just bothersome more than anything. Of course today my back is KILLING me so it has taken my mind off the belly button issues momentarily ;)
I've heard that if you put a Band-Aid across the belly button it really helps.

are total strangers touching your belly? bc I think that would really irritate me. Just bc youre pregnant does not give people the right to grope your stomach.
Somebody forgot to tell you the belly button is like in the Thanksgiving turkey,, when it gets to the farthest stick out point ,, TIME IS UP! Hang in there.
